Police book 16 for midnight bullet bike nuisance, seize 11 modified motorcycles

Kalepadal police booked 16 people, including 13 Bullet motorcycle riders and three garage operators, for public nuisance.

Police seized 11 modified motorcycles and destroyed illegally modified silencers that produced explosive sounds.

The action followed complaints from residents of Kad Nagar Chowk, Nyati Chowk, Rahat Vista Chowk, Undri, and Mohammadwadi about loud noises between 11 pm on July 31 and 5 am on August 1.

A police team used technical surveillance and local intelligence to identify the riders.

Senior police inspector Girisha Nimbalkar said notices were issued to the riders, and cases were registered against garage operators for facilitating illegal modifications.
