Muzaffarnagar schools, colleges to remain closed from August 3 to 10 for Kanwar Yatra

Schools and colleges in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, will remain closed from August 3 to August 10 for the Kanwar Yatra.

The closure is to ensure smooth movement of Kanwar pilgrims and public safety, with additional police deployed at major Shiva temples and anti-slip mats installed.

Meat shops and restaurants along Kanwar routes will also remain closed until August 12.

The Kanwar Yatra began on July 30 and will conclude on August 11, with heightened security and traffic management measures.
