IPV leads pre-seed round in space-tech startup BAAS Technologies

BAAS Technologies raised Rs 5 crore in pre-seed funding led by Inflection Point Ventures, with SINE IIT Bombay and angel investors.

The startup develops indigenous solid and liquid rocket propulsion systems for sub-orbital and orbital launch vehicles.

Proceeds will fund R&D on propulsion systems, a static test facility, manufacturing infrastructure, and team expansion.

BAAS is building a 100 kN Rocket Propulsion Testing Facility for static fire testing and engine validation.

The company is expanding commercially into Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia after paid pilot programs in India.
