Engineering dropout earns Rs 5 lakh monthly via AI startups

Lavanya Jain, a 22-year-old from Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, dropped out of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology's BTech in Electronics program and now claims to earn around Rs 4.8 lakh per month from AI startup roles and consulting.

Jain's career path included two failed JEE attempts and a strong interest in startup growth, marketing, content distribution, and technology, which led him to leave college and freelance instead.

Jain's income is reported to exceed that of graduates from his college who obtained campus placements, and he describes leaving college as 'the best decision' of his life.

His story highlights that practical skills and execution can create unconventional career paths, though traditional degrees remain valuable for many professions.
