After 38 years, DNA test reveals two US men were switched at birth; families sue North Dakota hospital

DNA test revealed Kyle Bylin and Jeremy Morrison were switched at birth on January 26, 1988, at Unity Medical Centre in Grafton, North Dakota.

Bylin received an at-home DNA test as a Christmas gift, which connected him to a biological aunt via a genealogy website, prompting Morrison to also take a DNA test.

Both families are suing Unity Medical Centre, alleging they were deprived of the lives they should have shared with their biological relatives.

Unity Medical Centre acknowledged the impact on families but stated it found no evidence that hospital staff were responsible for the switch.

The two men, now 38, say the discovery has not changed their feelings for the parents who raised them.
