Shiv Sena (UBT) Vinayak Raut And Family Seek Anticipatory Bail In Domestic Abuse And Occult Rituals Case

Vinayak Raut, a senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former MP, along with his family, sought anticipatory bail from Thane Sessions Court after a complaint by his daughter-in-law Girija Raut.
Girija Raut alleged domestic abuse, deception, and forced participation in occult rituals, including animal sacrifices and forced consumption of tainted substances, between September 2018 and August 2022.
The complaint claims the Raut family falsely owned a Vakola bungalow but forced Girija to live in a slum, coerced her to quit her corporate job, and subjected her to physical and mental abuse.
Girija alleged the occult rituals were used to enforce marital abstinence to conceal her husband Gitesh's impotence.
The Thane Sessions Court will hear the anticipatory bail plea on July 23.
