Punjab's gross GST revenue grew 20% in April-July 2026 to ₹10,447.9 crore, up from ₹8,708.48 crore in the same period last year.
In July 2026, Punjab collected ₹2,614.45 crore in gross GST, an 8.31% increase from ₹2,413.91 crore in July 2025.
SGST cash collection rose 16.23% year-on-year to ₹948.29 crore in July 2026, one of the highest growth rates in the country.
Finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema attributed the growth to improved tax compliance, technology-driven administration, crackdowns on bogus billing, and recovery of legacy tax arrears.
GST refunds exceeding ₹200 crore were sanctioned in July 2026.
