Mumbais Breast Cancer Screening Mega Drive Creates Asia, India Records After Screening 27,866 Women In A Day

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) screened 27,866 women aged 30+ for breast cancer at 298 locations in Mumbai in one day.

The campaign set records in the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

Mayor Ritu Tawde and Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi received certificates from record-keeping organizations at BMC headquarters.

Women with suspicious symptoms were referred to BMC hospitals for mammography and treatment.

The drive also included basic health checks like blood pressure and weight measurement.
