Ludhiana: 13-year-old boy’s lavish spending unravels ₹15-lakh theft mystery

A 13-year-old boy in Machhiwara, Ludhiana, allegedly stole ₹15 lakh in cash and gold from his father's hidden wall safe.

The Class 8 student spent the money on a gaming console worth ₹75,000, premium smartphones, jewellery, and ₹1.5 lakh toward a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.

The boy fabricated a theft story, claiming an outsider stole the valuables, but his lavish spending led police to uncover the truth.

He told his parents a wealthy friend preparing to move abroad had gifted him the items, which they initially believed.

The Machhiwara police investigated after a complaint was lodged, eventually concluding the boy was the mastermind.
