Wholesale inflation hits two-year high of 9.9% in June as food prices surge

Wholesale inflation hit a two-year high of 9.9% in June due to surging food prices.

Fuel and power inflation moderated to 27.41% in June from 30.33% in May but remained the biggest contributor to headline WPI.

The inflation rate is the highest since June 2020, driven primarily by food price increases.
