Haryana records an estimated 3,000 to 3,500 new breast cancer cases annually, with most women diagnosed at stage 3 or 4.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Haryana, accounting for one in four female cancer cases.
PGIMS Rohtak signed an MoU with LPS Bossard and the Dr Anita Charitable Foundation to launch the Cancer Mukta Haryana Samiti (CMHS).
The CMHS aims to promote cancer awareness, early diagnosis, and timely treatment through awareness campaigns, screening, and research.
The foundation's free mobile mammography programme has screened over 9,000 women and detected more than 22 breast cancer cases.
