Punjab: 30-kg heroin seized; two of cross-border network held

The CI-Amritsar arrested two individuals and seized 30-kg heroin from them.

The arrested individuals are Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi and Gagandeep Singh, both residents of Amritsar.

Police impounded their Hero Deluxe motorcycle (PB02DU3533) used for transporting the consignment.

This is the third major narcotics module busted by CI-Amritsar since July 6, bringing total heroin recovery to 68 kg in 10 days.

The accused were operating on directions of a foreign-based handler linked to cross-border smugglers.
