Honeymoon murder case: SC cancels Sonam Raghuvanshi's bail, orders her to surrender in two weeks
Supreme Court cancelled the bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in the honeymoon murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya in May 2025.
The Court ordered Sonam Raghuvanshi to surrender before the trial court within two weeks, observing that continued bail might hinder the ongoing trial.
The order came after the Meghalaya government challenged the Meghalaya high court's decision to grant bail, which had been based on arrest procedure technicalities.
The Court noted that if trial does not conclude within six months, Sonam Raghuvanshi can apply for bail again.
