Om Puri confessed about his affair with maid to his first wife a day before the wedding

Om Puri confessed to his first wife Seema Kapoor about an affair with his house help one day before their 1990 wedding in Jhalawar.

Seema Kapoor said she did not cancel the wedding because invites were sent and her parents were respected in the small town.

Seema alleged Om Puri cheated on her with his second wife Nandita, leading to their divorce while she was pregnant.

Seema lost her unborn child after moving out and later rejected Rs 25,000 sent by Om Puri's secretary, calling it a matter of self-respect.

Om Puri died in January 2017 at age 66 from a heart attack; his marriage to Nandita also ended in divorce in 2013.
