GB Nagar MP calls for traffic plan to handle Noida airport rush

Gautam Budh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma directed authorities to prepare a long-term traffic management strategy for Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna City to handle anticipated rush to Noida International Airport.

The directions were issued at a review meeting of the Parliamentary Road Safety Committee and the District School Vehicle Transport Safety Committee on Saturday.

Sharma called for traffic diversion strategies and effective regulation before peak pressure, citing congestion at Pari Chowk.

The plan must include designated commercial vehicle entry timings, coordinated enforcement against construction vehicles, and wider adoption of modern traffic management systems.

Police and transport officials were also directed to analyze accident data regularly and complete rectification work at black spots.
