Himachal govt approves MSP of processing grade mangoes, citrus fruits and c-grade apples in state

Himachal Pradesh government approved Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for procurement of processing grade mangoes, citrus fruits, and c-grade apples in 2026.

Procurement will be carried out through Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC), with HIMFED possibly associated for apple procurement.

Mangoes will be procured in recyclable plastic crates of 20 kg capacity; 42 fruit collection centres will be opened.

Processing grade Kinnow, Malta, and Santra (orange) will be procured at ₹12 per kg, and Galgal at ₹10 per kg.

Up to 1.50 lakh metric tonnes of c-grade apples will be procured at ₹12 per kg; registration on HPMC MIS Portal is mandatory for farmers.
