Boy who fled home to escape academically inclined parents 3 years ago reunited with family

year-old Anis Khan fled home in October 2023 to avoid attending school due to his academically inclined parents.

He was found wandering at Juhu Chowpatty and placed in Sneh Sadan Orphanage in Andheri East on October 21, 2023.

Anis left the orphanage two days later, prompting a kidnapping case filed by employee Chanchal Prasad Nair at MIDC police station.

A special team led by police sub-inspector Sagar Hujre traced him by cross-referencing missing children records and visiting juvenile homes.

He was reunited with his family in Malwani on July 23, 2026, after being found at a juvenile home in Matunga.
