FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Bengaluru extends pub, restaurant and hotel hours till 3.30 am for semi-finals and final
Bengaluru police will allow bars, restaurants, pubs, and hotels to operate until 3:30 am during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semi-finals and final.
The relaxation applies to the nights of July 14-15, July 15-16, and July 19-20 to facilitate late-night match screenings.
The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Bengaluru Chapter requested the extension because matches screened at restaurants run until around 2:30 am, past the usual 1 am closing time.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar responded positively to a memorandum from NRAI, Karnataka State Hotels Association (KSHA), and Bengaluru City Hotel Association seeking longer hours.
The order was issued under the Karnataka Police Act and aims to balance late-night screening access with law and order.
