GITAM graduate lands AWS software job in London

Priyanka Reddy Karumuru, a BTech Computer Science graduate from GITAM University, Hyderabad, secured a Software Development Engineer role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Cambridge, London, with a reported Rs 1.4 crore package.

Her father, a Senior Manager at IBM, advised her to focus on understanding concepts rather than chasing marks.

From her first year of engineering, she dedicated one to two hours daily to Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and solved coding problems on LeetCode and GeeksforGeeks.

She completed certifications in machine learning, operating systems, data analysis with Python, and data visualisation.
