Kerala Health Min accuses Oppn of politicising disaster, rejects charges over relief measures

Kerala Health Minister K Muraleedharan accused the Opposition of politicizing the flood situation and rejected charges over relief measures.

Muraleedharan said there was no shortage of medicines in relief camps, with adequate stock and deliveries made where required.

The government had largely cleared pending dues to pharmaceutical companies, he stated.

He criticized Opposition attacks on Chief Minister V D Satheesan for attending a lunch during the floods, calling it unnecessary controversy.

Muraleedharan defended the CM's helicopter use, saying it was for essential official purposes.
