Mumbai Cosmetic Surgeon Booked For Allegedly Duping Investor Of ₹90 Lakh With False 10% Shareholding Promise

  1. NM Joshi Marg police booked cosmetic surgeon Dr Mohan Thomas for allegedly cheating Narendra Ramniranjan Jain of ₹90 lakh.

  2. Jain paid ₹80 lakh via cheque and ₹10 lakh in cash after being promised a 10% stake in The Cosmetic Surgery (India) Pvt Ltd, dividends, and high returns.

  3. A Shareholder Agreement dated April 18, 2013 gave Jain 10% shareholding at Rs10 per share, with a promise to buy back shares at ₹40 each within three months.

  4. Jain discovered in May 2024 that ₹80 lakh was recorded as an unsecured loan in RoC filings, not as share capital.

  5. Police have taken up the case for further investigation.
