3 arrested for murdering, burying 2 sadhus in Haridwar forest: Police

Three people arrested for murdering two sadhus Paras Giri and Sewa Giri in Haridwar forest.

The accused are Ankur Giri alias Akhil Giri, Ashu Saini, and Ram Milan.

The sadhus were attacked with sharp-edged weapons while sleeping on July 18, then buried.

The murders were allegedly motivated by the sadhus' aspiration to become temple spiritual head, which concerned priest Akhil Giri.

Police recovered two shovels used in the murder and burial; investigation ongoing.
