Automatic EPF transfer after changing jobs: Things to check before your balance is moved to the new account

EPFO introduced automatic PF transfers for eligible members, triggered after the new employer deposits the first EPF contribution.

The facility applies only to Aadhaar-linked and KYC-compliant Universal Account Number (UAN) holders directly managed by EPFO.

Employees with private or exempted provident fund systems cannot use the automatic transfer facility.

Before transfer, ensure the UAN is activated, linked with Aadhaar, and KYC details like PAN are updated.
