Mumbai Water Stock Rises To Nearly 70% After Heavy Rain; Lake Levels Rise By 7.84% In 24 Hours

Mumbai's water stock rose to 69.74% of live storage capacity after heavy rainfall.

Modak Sagar overflowed on July 23, becoming the fourth lake to overflow this monsoon after Vihar, Tulsi, and Tansa.

Reservoir levels increased by 7.84 percentage points in 24 hours, with Bhatsa at 65.01% and Middle Vaitarna at 62.27%.

Catchment areas recorded rainfall up to 230 mm in Upper Vaitarna and 207 mm in Middle Vaitarna.
