Growth marketer Lavanya Jain shows ₹4.8 lakh salary without IIT degree

Lavanya Jain, a 22-year-old growth marketer, shared a screenshot showing ₹4.8 lakh in two payments credited to his bank account.

Jain, who dropped out of a B.Tech program in electronics and communications engineering, said he earns over $100,000 a year as a part-time contractor.

He claimed to have five passive income sources and said his earnings exceed the highest placement package at his former college.

Jain worked in growth and go-to-market roles at startups including Runable, Kairos Computer, and Fold.

His post on X sparked discussion about whether an IIT degree is necessary for professional success.
