His video, captioned 'More strict actions against paper leaks to come in tomorrow’s Cabinet!', has garnered 271 million views, 15 million likes, and 1.3 million comments on Instagram.
In the video, Modi announced that the government would introduce tougher measures to tackle examination paper leaks and informed about the Union Cabinet meeting agenda.
The Union Cabinet on Friday cleared amendments to the anti-paper leak law, proposing stricter punishments including up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore.
The revised law raises the minimum jail term for paper leak offenses from three years to five years.
