Jagan accusess TDP-led govt of pushing aqua sector into ‘crisis’

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the TDP-led coalition government of pushing Andhra Pradesh's aquaculture sector into a 'deep crisis' with alleged anti-farmer policies.

Reddy claimed shrimp farmers' production cost is ₹275 per kg but they are forced to sell at ₹230 per kg, causing losses.

He alleged a cartel of companies supplying shrimp seed, feed, and purchasing produce manipulates prices, with feed prices rising ₹16 per bag in four months.

Reddy criticized CM N Chandrababu Naidu's plan to reduce feed prices by ₹2 as inadequate, and accused the government of failing to provide MSP.

Reddy highlighted his previous government's measures: remunerative prices, electricity at ₹1.50 per unit, and ₹3,306 crore in power subsidies over five years.
