Sonu Nigam says he was ‘banned’ by T-Series, Zee Music after copyright battle: ‘Things only kept getting worse’

Sonu Nigam said T-Series banned him and Zee Music stopped working with him after he raised copyright and royalty issues for singers.
He said the labels called him 'an activist' and he faced closed doors, but he continued performing on stage.
He believes his stand was part of a larger purpose, continuing what Lata Mangeshkar started but couldn't complete.
He noted that eventually the laws changed and the same labels now pay royalties and work with him again.
His upcoming concert 'Revolution' is scheduled at OVO Arena Wembley on August 23, 2026.
