Himachal Pradesh: At least 13 feared dead after taxi crushed by boulders in Lahaul-Spiti

At least 13 people feared dead after a taxi was crushed by boulders on the Sansari–Killar–Tandi road near Kadu Nala in Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

The taxi carried 15 passengers from Udaipur to Pangi; a hillside collapse occurred on the Udaipur-Killar stretch of the SKTT road.

One injured passenger was rescued; heavy machinery deployed for search and rescue operation.

Bharmour MLA Janak Raj stated 13 fatalities including a six-month-old infant, with two survivors.

Separately, a woman named Rameshwari Sharma was killed and seven family members injured by a falling boulder near Gumma in Mandi district.
