Mahadev Betting App Probe: ED Grills TV Host Shefali Bagga For Second Day Over Alleged Money Trail

TV host Shefali Bagga appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for a second day in a money laundering probe into the Mahadev Online Book betting syndicate.

Rs 30 lakh in cash seized from her Delhi residence is alleged to be proceeds of crime from promoting illegal betting apps.

Bagga admitted in her PMLA statement that she promoted illegal betting apps via social media despite knowing it was unlawful.

She claimed her father Vipin Bagga handled endorsement deals, cash receipts, and use of the money.

The ED alleges Bagga is linked to syndicate operative Khanjan Jagdish Kumar Thakkar and Sky Exchange kingpin H. S. Tibrewal.
