Himalian is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer with over 26 years of experience in Indian Railways.

The change in leadership is effective immediately following Jain's resignation.

IRCTC is the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, a public sector enterprise.
