No compromise on crowd management during Bahuda Yatra on July 24: Odisha CM

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed Bahuda Yatra preparations on July 22, 2026, stressing foolproof crowd management and security.

The review followed two deaths and several illnesses during the July 16 Rath Yatra in Puri.

Bahuda Yatra is scheduled for July 24, with Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra's chariots pulled back to the 12th-century shrine.

Majhi directed use of CCTV and the Integrated Command and Control System to monitor crowd density and enable swift response.
