‘He spoke briefly, then fired’: Indian-origin woman shot dead in targeted Toronto attack

year-old Indian-origin woman Navneet Kaur was shot dead in a targeted attack near Humberwood Boulevard and Rexdale Boulevard in Toronto.

Police say the suspect spoke briefly to Kaur before firing a single shot and fleeing the scene; there was no argument.

A 37-year-old Brampton man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Toronto police believe the shooting was targeted and that there are no outstanding suspects.
