Ludhiana police busts tyre theft gang, son of factory owner, aides held

Ludhiana police arrested Sukhjit Singh, 23, and Aman Kumar, 21, for a series of tyre thefts in Rakh Bagh area.

Sukhjit Singh's father owns a manufacturing unit, and tyres were recovered from that godown.

Police recovered all four tyres of a stolen Toyota Fortuner, along with a Brezza car, hydraulic jack, and iron rods.

The theft occurred on July 18, 2024, when tyres were removed from a Fortuner parked near the deputy commissioner's residence.

The duo is also linked to a previous theft of tyres from a Hyundai i20 on May 14, 2024.
