40 rescued dogs up for adoption, 8 find homes in Bengaluru

Over 40 rescued dogs were put up for adoption at Bengaluru East City Corporation’s Adopt Me–Second Innings campaign.

Eight dogs found homes: four were adopted on the spot and four more are in final adoption stages.

The dogs were rescued from abandonment, accidents, and cruelty, including five that survived abuse and several specially-abled canines.

BECC commissioner DS Ramesh said the initiative aims to find permanent homes and promote responsible pet ownership.

The campaign, organized with Sahavarthin Animal Welfare Trust, also raised awareness about vaccination, rabies prevention, and animal welfare.
