Couple, 2 grandsons crushed to death by truck in Sant Kabir Nagar

A couple, Lalji (58) and Ramdevi (53), and their grandsons Adarsh (12) and Satyam (8) were crushed to death by an out-of-control truck in Kurthiya village, Sant Kabir Nagar district.

The accident occurred around 8:30 am on Monday while the victims were sitting on a cot outside their house; the truck was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control.

The incident sparked public outrage, with locals blocking the highway and disrupting traffic; the truck driver fled the scene during the chaos.

Police seized the damaged truck and formed teams to arrest the absconding driver; the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
