ESPN fires analyst Ryan Clark after contract dispute

ESPN parted ways with veteran NFL analyst Ryan Clark, according to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic.

Clark's reported dismissal follows a heated on-air exchange with ESPN reporter Peter Schrager in 2024, for which Clark later apologized.

Clark was informed of his departure during a live appearance on NFL Live.

ESPN is extending contracts for other talent and plans to boost Pat McAfee's salary to over $60 million per year.

Clark was earning over $2 million annually after a difficult contract negotiation in 2024.
