44 Killed, 257 Communal Violence Cases In Bangladesh In First Half Of 2026: Minority Council Raises Alarm

Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian body reported 44 minority members killed in 40 incidents in first half of 2026.

The group recorded 257 incidents of communal violence including attacks on homes, businesses and religious sites.

Violence also included land grabbing, violence against women, and alleged torture.
