Body of 25-year-old man found in Ramdarbar forest; overdose suspected

Body of a 25-year-old man from Bihar was found in Ramdarbar forest area on Tuesday, decomposed and suspected to have been lying for three to four days.

Police found no injury marks or signs of struggle but suspect a drug overdose; final postmortem report is awaited.

Family members alleged the victim was murdered, claiming his four friends killed him and sent them a video of the body.

Police have rounded up the four individuals for questioning but no case has been registered yet; inquest proceedings initiated at Sector 31 police station.

The victim had come from Bihar to visit relatives in Ramdarbar, stayed with friends in a Zirakpur hotel, then his phone was switched off.
