  1. UP Vigilance arrested LDA junior engineer Dinesh Kumar Verma, supervisor Chandra Prakash, and private individual Shravan Kumar for allegedly accepting a ₹7.5 lakh bribe.

  2. The arrest followed a complaint that Verma stopped construction at a site and, through Shravan, demanded ₹15 lakh to allow work to continue.

  3. The complainant agreed to pay in two instalments of ₹7.5 lakh each and alerted the Vigilance Establishment, which verified and caught the accused accepting the first instalment.

  4. The three allegedly misused the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal to file a complaint as leverage for the bribe demand.
