Who is Kaitlyn Tracey? Canadian woman detained by ICE for alleged assault on teens wearing Trump clothing

Kaitlyn E. Tracey, a Canadian citizen living in Asbury Park, New Jersey, was charged with assaulting two teenage girls wearing clothing with the words 'Trump' and 'ICE' on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk on July 3, 2026.

Police allege Tracey confronted a group of four teenage girls, recorded the encounter on her phone, and struck one of the girls across the face and body after objecting to their patriotic sweatpants.

Tracey was taken into custody by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and transferred to the Delaney Hall Immigration Detention Center in Newark.

Her husband, Matthew Geroni, an American citizen and TikTok content creator, stated his priority is his wife's safety and well-being, and he claimed aspects of the incident were taken out of context.
