FIFA collectable turf pieces sell out

FIFA sold all 2,026 pieces of each edition of its official memorabilia containing fragments of grass from MetLife Stadium ahead of the 2026 World Cup final.

The collectables feature authentic pieces of the match-day turf sealed in premium acrylic, available in Foundation Edition ($450) and Hero Edition ($3,000).

Each piece is engraved with match details and final score after the game, and includes a USB with an authenticity film.

The initiative is estimated to generate more than $11 million in revenue.

The sale drew attention for a listing error where FIFA failed to specify the unit of measurement for the acrylic block dimensions.
