'You dare to demand PM Modi's resignation?': Masked men assault student protester in Bengaluru

A 19-year-old member of the All India Students Association (AISA) was assaulted by four masked men on two motorcycles in Bengaluru on Tuesday night.

The attackers hit the student on his right leg with a piece of hard wood after asking if he dared to demand Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation.

The student sustained serious leg injuries and required a plaster cast.

An FIR has been registered at Jalahalli Police Station; no arrests have been made and investigation is ongoing.

The student had been participating in protests at Freedom Park in solidarity with a nationwide youth movement demanding the resignation of former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
