Atmanirbharta must keep pace; old technology has no meaning, says IAF Chief

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh commissioned INS Malvan, an anti-submarine shallow water craft, at Karnataka's Seabird Naval Base in Karwar.

INS Malvan, built by Cochin Shipyard, is designed to operate in shallow waters where larger ships cannot, and is equipped to detect, track, and respond to underwater threats.

The IAF Chief commended the Indian Navy for achieving 80% indigenous components in INS Malvan and called on the Indian Air Force to follow suit.

Singh stated that technology delayed is technology denied, emphasizing that producing outdated technology has no meaning.
