Steptrade Capital’s Chanakya Opportunities Fund II hits first close, crosses Rs 100 crore in commitments

Steptrade Capital's Chanakya Opportunities Fund II (COF II) achieved first close with over Rs 100 crore in commitments within three months of launch.

The fund targets a corpus of Rs 500 crore and focuses on pre-IPO and growth-stage companies in three themes: Advanced Manufacturing, Energy Transition and Infrastructure, and Emerging Enablers.

COF II is co-managed by CA Kresha Gupta and CA Akshay Dawra, and follows the legacy of Chanakya Opportunities Fund I, India's first SME-Exchange-focused CAT II AIF.

Capital deployment for COF II is set to begin in August 2026, with the next allocation window opening to broader eligible investors.
