PSPCL logs over 14,000 fresh complaints after rain lashes Ludhiana

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) logged 14,531 new power complaints after rain lashed Ludhiana on Thursday.

Power supply from several grids was temporarily suspended as a safety measure to prevent electrocution and damage to electrical infrastructure.

Outages lasted up to eight hours in areas including Sarabha Nagar, Dugri Phases I and II, Jamalpur, and Focal Point.

Focal Point recorded the highest number of complaints at 2,295, followed by Model Town with 1,931 and Sunder Nagar with 1,770.

The fresh faults came as PSPCL employees had just resumed work after a week-long strike, straining restoration efforts.
