Gaza authorities say found 112 bodies in rubble

Gaza authorities recovered 112 bodies or body parts from rubble in Sabra, Gaza City, after 136 hours of digging.

The remains included 40 children, 38 women, and 7 people with physical disabilities, according to Gaza's civil defence agency.

The civil defence agency, serving under Hamas, stated that 157 other bodies are believed to be still under the rubble.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) supported the operation, with spokesperson Amani Al-Naouq highlighting the importance of recovering remains.

The Hamas-run health ministry has confirmed over 73,300 deaths in the war, which began with Hamas's attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
