JeM terror module case: Gujarat ATS arrests five more accused

Gujarat ATS arrested five more accused linked to a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module, bringing the total to 13.

The arrests followed disclosures during the police remand of eight earlier accused, who were arrested on July 3, 2026 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The accused allegedly learned to make improvised explosive devices and bomb detonation mechanisms at Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa in Patan since 2023.

Between 2023 and February 2026, they attempted eight separate explosions using various timer mechanisms and procured gunpowder materials online and locally.

Newly arrested include Bilal Abidbhai Shera, who allegedly supplied a pen drive with speeches and videos of JeM founder Masood Azhar to a previously arrested accused.
