NGT seeks report on illegal constructions in Greater Noida in 4 weeks

NGT granted GNIDA four weeks to submit a report on alleged constructions in Greater Noida violating environmental norms.

UPPCB was directed to verify and report on two projects in Chhapraula village and along GT Road continuing despite closure orders.

The order was issued on July 23 by a bench of justice Prakash Shrivastava and expert member Dr Afroz Ahmad.

Application was filed by former municipal corporator Rajendra Tyagi alleging illegal constructions in Noida and Greater Noida.

NGT clarified its examination is limited to illegal constructions violating environmental norms.
