US and Solomon Islands discuss deepening ties, return of Peace Corps

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Solomon Islands PM Matthew Wale.

They signed a letter of intent to return the Peace Corps to the Solomon Islands.

The Peace Corps left the Solomon Islands more than 25 years ago.

The meeting focused on deepening bilateral ties.
